POV: You and your besties booked that trip to Los Cabos (located on the southern tip of the baja california peninsula), so you need a What To Pack For Cabo ultimate packing list!
Hola, Besties! Okay a hola greeting is really out of character for me, BUT we’re talking about what to pack for Cabo, so I just had to!
Alright, besties, let’s do this! Let’s talk about what to pack for Cabo San Lucas or San Jose Del Cabo (or Puerto Vallarta or Baja Peninsula lol).
……when you’re going on any type of girl’s trip (bachelorette party, birthday party, or just because). If overpacking is your favorite hobby…I mean, it’s honestly my favorite part about traveling…..you’re going to lovvveee this Cabo packing list.
What To Pack For Cabo
Because whether you make it at home or get it at an actual Starbucks, I swear it will be the best start to your girl’s trip!
2. Lip Balm
Bye bye to dry, cracked lips while traveling.
Nonetheless, I’m not being over dramatic when I say that a silk pillowcase will literally change your entire girl's trip experience. No more waking up in paradise with frizzy hair and sleep wrinkles.
Can we cancel hotel crappy lighting? Like please?!
Once you know a travel mirror exists, it kind of seems like the obvious travel essential doesn’t it? Pls don’t sell these out, thanks! 🙂
5. Water Bottle
Thank me later 🙂
7. Beach Bag
8. White Shorts
I also love that they look abnormally perfect on everyone. 🙂 I definitely think it’s a really good idea to pack a pair of “cover-up” shorts like this.
Lovees wearing these with a tank top or bikini for the perfect beach vacation outfit. Beach town-approved for sure.
10. Short Dress
Besties, it’s already looking like a great time in this resort city with hopefully fewer tourists if you go in May or June 🙂
11. Heels
Because they’re so darling and comfy, they’re way too easy to throw on with a tight dress. Also, the quality is chefs kisssss!
12. Sunglasses
*insert music emoji*....She a baddie she know she a ten....(that makes sense there, right)?
If you’re a maximalist, pack two, or three, or four! lol
13. Heart Sunglasses
They’re super Instagram-worthy, and I couldn’t love them more for sun protection.
14. Denim Shorts
Denim shorts are so simple, but something about it feels so right for a Cabo vacation. Especially, if you're going during the winter months.
15. Straw Clutch
Finally!!! How can you go to Cabo without a cute straw clutch? Obviously, you can't!
I’ve recommended it to so many of my friends, and they’re all equally as in love with it as I am.
16. Earrings
I swear they will score you tons of compliments! Big big fan!
Do you know what we’re not going to be doing anymore? We’re not going to be haphazardly throwing our sunglasses in our carry-on. Okay?!!?
Basically, they’re really right when they say that a waterproof phone case or even a waterproof phone pouch can help you get some cute underwater photos of yourself while you’re in Cabo.
19. Pair Of Sneakers
Whenever I’m a tourist in a city, you will never catch me without comfortable walking shoes for walking (obviously) and excursions and such.
20. Light Sweater
Loves a light sweater for early morning or evening strolling or during cold weather. This light sweater is basically the best *cute* light jacket on the internet.
21. Tank Tops
Also, I sincerely mean it when I say that cute tank tops are probably going to be your best friend for those sunny days in Cabo.
Who doesn’t love wearing cute tank tops during a tropical vacation anyways? Especially during the summer months?
22. Cotton Shorts
I love pairing them with a swimsuit, tank tops, body suit, collard shirt….EVERYTHING. They truly go with EVERYTHING! Omg.
Ummm…ya I swear you’ll fall in love with them.23. Romper
I saw some girl in a tiktok video wearing this casual-cute clothing in Cabo, and I had to have it for my trip.
Undeniably, it’s a great option for those days when you want to quickly look put together. Just throw on a pair of comfy sandals and a cute purse and you’re all set.
24. Carry On
This viral travel backpack has 189039 compartments, which is insane! It’s truly next level bc it can fit basically everything!!
I love using it as my personal item whenever I’m going a Cabo vacation.
25. Insect Repellant
but I highly recommend that you bring this bc I’m pretty sure you will get sick of the bugs, especially during your outdoor adventures in the warmest months.
26. Liquid IV
Because let’s face it, a girl’s trip in Cabo is bound to come with a hangover or two.
27. Silk Eye Mask
28. Claw Clips
29. Necklace
30. AirTag
31. Workout Sets
Also, if spending my days thinking about all the different workout sets I can bring is wrong.... then honestly I don’t want to be right. 🙂
Side Note: Be sure to talk with the resort or travel guide to determine whether or not a workout set is appropriate for the Cabo activity.
Obviously, you’re going to Cabo, so you’ve gotta pack cute one-piece swimsuits, right?!
33. Good Book
A good book? How could we not include this in our what to pack for cabo list!
The only thing that might be better than reading a good book is reading a good book with a view (hello beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters, and all of the other tourist areas!!). Pretty sure I'll never get sick of the views in Cabo.
If you’re trying to embrace your beach reading girlie era, this is my favorite for a beach vacation.
34. Kindle
Also, if you’re a book worm, but don’t have a kindle yet, I genuinely don’t know what you’re doing.
You will love how easily it soaks up water like a good beach towel should! If you grab it, let me know.
36. Collard Shirt
I call these outfits smart casual!
You can definitely eat all of the tacos and drink all of the margaritas you want in this collard shirt. Especially bc it’s so stretchy and comfy. Besties, I seriously don’t believe for one sec that you wouldn’t love a shirt like this.
You can keep so many things in here like your credit card, cash, Mexican tourist card, ect.
Additionally, I can totally see you bringing this with you to whale watching, organic farms, horseback riding, scuba diving, and other super fun Cabo activities. Seriously the best best time with your Lululemon Belt Everywhere Bag 🙂
38. Day Pack
39. Drink Pouches
And by they, I mean TikTok.
I mean, they ain't lyin'.
40. Bubble Headband
The entire world is going crazy over this cute headband, so the answer is obviously yes!
41. Face Masks
Okay…be honest. Do we like the idea of bringing disposable cameras on a girl’s trip??
Because the fact that you can’t see the photo instantly and then waiting to discover them weeks (years?) later just hits different.
43. Dry Shampoo
I’m going to tell you guys something that I haven’t told you before, and I literally don’t know why.
45. Pool Floats
Not me getting more pool floats to manifest another tropical vacation. 🙂
46. Scrunchies
I’m including scrunchies in this list bc I wouldn’t want you to forget to pack a million of them.
47. Travel Shoe Bag
I am not even joking. My packing game changed for the better when I started using this. The fact that this bag bag can fit a whole lot of shoes like three or four pairs >>>>>>>>
I will forever recommend a travel shoe bag every opportunity I get for my girlies whose packing game isn’t very strong.
48. Jade Roller
I have my best friend to thank for putting me on to them (she put them in a girl’s trip goodie bag).
I am speaking for all of us when I say that we’re forever going to be jade roller girlies, especially on vacation bc it can reduce puffiness and swelling.
49. Pillow Slides
I don’t know about you, but my best friend spoils me. I feel like a lot of the time when she’s shopping, she picks up something for me.
As soon as I saw them, I knew that they would be perfect for a tropical vacation. Besties, let’s slip on these pillow slides in Cabo and then head to the pool bc the weather is too good not to.
50. Beach Waver
No way this thing can make gorgeous loose beach waves in minutes (and with minimal effort). This makes me want to cry...it’s too good!
51. Portable Steamer
So, I’ll be honest, there’s a 90% chance that I did bc I have never been able to find one in hotel rooms.
Judge me if you will, but it’s truly a holy grail item bc it will literally get out of the wrinkles from your dress, nice pair of pants, collard shirt, cotton shorts, or even your bathing suit, haha. I am so glad you get it now.
52. Silk Pajamas
My entire fyp is of silk pajamas. Obviously, I’m very happy to see it.
Besties, we’ve gotta bring silk pajamas with us to Cabo, or we’re just going to be sad. These ones are a good choice.
53. Bikini
Obviously, nothing gets worn in Cabo more than a bikini. So that’s why I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect bikini for your girl’s trip.
Let’s hear your opinion. My opinion is not going to change sorry!
54. Wet Brush
55. Aloe Vera
Okay, important question: Did you know we need to pack aloe vera gel?
56. Towel Clips
Does anyone else get irrationally angry when your towel blows away in the wind?
Let’s order them in every color bc I know our friends are going to want some too!
57. Water Shoes
If you and your girls plan on doing a lot of hiking in Cabo, I’ve got you sis.
You’ll thank me later if you’re the type of girl who gets the ick thinking about wearing tennis shoes while walking on wet terrains near the Pacific Ocean. That was very specific, and I meant for it to be.
They are also great for a wide variety of water activities like kayaking.
Activated charcoal may be able to help with food poisoning and even day drinking. So, don’t underestimate the power of this underrated travel essential.
59. Flip Flops
Not to mention, it’s so much more comfortable to wear shoes like flip flops rather than walking barefoot on the cold tile floor in hotel rooms.
60. Two Piece Sets
Could this be more perfect? Say what you want, but I love it.
From the moment you laid eyes on it, has a two piece sets been calling your name too? I can totally see it pairing well with some cute heels and a straw clutch in the summer season.
I mean this wholeheartedly, but I can absolutely see this as part of you guys’ pregaming. No, I don’t mean drinking in the shower but perhaps afterwards. 😉
Basically, it’s the little, cute things that will make you happy while you’re in Cabo.
62. Eye Masks
I just got back from a trip using eye masks, and it was actually life-changing.
Also, I promise that you’ll never be scared about getting puffy eyes *after a long night of drinking* thanks to eye masks 🙂
When in doubt, just pack a cute long-sleeved shirt that has breathable fabric. Because it can be used as a cover up.
But, if you see me wearing this everyday in parts of Mexico, no you didn’t.
64. Light Jacket
Of course, I’m packing a light jacket…whose shocked?
65. Sandals
I don’t like to brag (okay I love to brag), but I own the cutest thing on earth.
I promise that these cute sandals will get you so SO excited for your girl’s trip (and that’s a good thing). It will make your outfit pretty with basically no effort!
66. Sarong
Text the group and ask everyone if they want to wear matching sarongs on the yacht….y’all will definitely be better girlies bc of it! Plz tell me I’m invited to the yacht day!
67. Packing Cubes
Also, I know I'm repeating myself here, but they truly are the best thing to use when traveling bc you will have so much room for all of the things. You can use them for a checked or carry-on bag honestly.
68. Flowy Dress
Not sure what to wear during the daytime in Cabo?
Obviously, when you’re preparing for your trip, be sure to include a flowy dress (or four) on your what to pack for cabo list.
Not the adult in me thinking that you can’t travel to Cabo without sun protection.
It’s truly the sunscreen you will keep coming back to no matter how many other ones you try bc it won’t harm marine life like whale sharks and coral reefs or your body.
70. Swimsuit Coverup
However, as dramatic as it might sound, it’s almost a sin to not include this in a what to pack for cabo checklist. Such an easy piece to slip on before heading in a restaurant or the hotel.
71. Neutrogena Wipes
But, it’s just the one thing that I can’t go on a trip without. Definitely a must-try for those nights where you’re too tired to do a 12 step skincare routine.
Wow oh wow, I wish that I could add a scratch and sniff feature so that you can smell this amazing spray.
The smell is so tropical, and I just can’t get enough.
Basically, every time I wear it, I get a ton of compliments from my friends.
Also, I have this clear cosmetics case, and it might just be my favorite thing that I own. 10/10 worth it!!
75. AirPods
76. AirPods Case
So, listen, if you aren’t already bringing a jewelry organizer with you to Cabo, check out this one.
Trust me. If you’re a jewelry whore like me, this baby will keep your jewelry tangled-free and organized.
78. Beis Suitcase
Can we make traveling with an ugly suitcase illegal? If I were president, I would make it mandatory to travel with a cute suitcase 🙂
Let’s be a Beis girly for life because these suitcases are stylish, and they hold up so well.
79. Pill Organizer
No more having to pack medicines in their original bottles!
80. Beach Hat
I’m convinced that there’s no better way to beat the warm weather than with a beach hat.
If you forget to pack a beach hat, don’t worry…..I’m surreee you can find this at one of the many souvenir shops. If the souvenir shops don’t have hats with reasonable prices, don’t come for me.
81. Advil
Did you even have a fun girl’s trip in Cabo if you forgot to bring Advil?
Idk why it took me so long to do it.
You can totally wait to buy hand sanitizer in Cabo, but it will be an extra cost that I know you don’t want to spend (I mean, I don't want to pay for overpriced hand sanitizer in Cabo, and I assume you don't either.)
